The Bible- We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible word of God. Written by holy men as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
The Godhead- We believe in ONE God who is infinite in power, holy in nature, attributes and purposes, as well as omniscient and omnipresent. We further believe that He is revealed to us as Father in creation, as son in redemption, and as Holy Spirit in his grace which never leaves those that trust Him. We also believe that in Jesus dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily, for it pleased the Father that in Him should all the fullness dwell. (I Timothy 2:5; Colossians 1:19)
Jesus- We believe in the virgin birth. Jesus was both human and divine. He was God manifested in flesh. We believe in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. He ascended on high and sent His Spirit, the Holy Ghost, which was poured out in Jerusalem over 2,000 years ago. And it is the same Spirit that is filling the hearts of those who diligently seek him today. (Matthews 1:18-21) (I Corinthians 15:1-4).
Salvation- We believe in repentance and baptism in water by complete immersion in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins. Also, the baptism of the Holy Ghost, speaking with other tongues as the spirit gives utterance. This constitutes the new birth. (Acts 2:1-4, 38; John 3:3-8)
Holiness- We believe in a holy and sanctified life (Hebrews 12:14; I Thessalonins 4:7). We also believe in the glorious catching away (the rapture) of the saints. When Jesus returns in the clouds in glory to take his people to Heaven.
Divine Healing- The Lord is our Healer (Exodus 15:26; Psalms 30:2-3) The Lord made our bodies. Should it be thought a thing incredible that He can heal us? " With his stripes we are healed" ( Isaiah 53:4; Matthew 8:14-17; John 14:12; Mark 16:18; James 5:14).
Communion- Melchisedec, the Priest of the Most High God, gave the first communion to our Father Abraham, consisting of bread and wine (Genesis 14:18). Christ being a High Priest "after the order of Melchisedec" evidently administered the same (Hebrews 6:20). Water and grape juice are modern day substitutes that have been invented by the formal church today, in which are many who have never been regenerated and born of the Spirit (Matthew 26:29; I Corinthian 11:23-32).
Feet Washing- This ordinance is as much a divine command as any other New Testament ordinance. Jesus gave us an example that we should do even as he had. He said that we ought to wash one another's feet. Again, "if ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them" (John 13:4-17). There is scriptural evidence that this was practiced by the church in the days of the Apostle Paul. (I Timothy 5:10).
Wholly Sanctified Life- We believe that in order to escape the judgement of God and to have hope of enjoying the glory of eternal life. One must be thoroughly saved from his sins, wholly sanctified and filled with the Holy Ghost. Also, that a wholly sanctified life is the only true standard of Christian life. ( Hebrews 12:14; I Peter 1:15-17).
We believe that Jesus is the only saving name, and whatsoever you do in word or in deed, do all in the name of Jesus. (Colossians 3:17) KJV
